Many thanks Kim! I tried to be conservative. And you are correct, if there’s no line of sight to at least $50k (with minimal to no debt), I’d wait to pursue that avenue full-time from a stronger financial position.

And thank you for putting an ACTUAL number to the type of salary that a new college graduate needs to seek to attain the savings rate necessary for FI at a young age. Taking on a mountain of student debt to pursue a job in a field that doesn’t guarantee satisfaction OR financial freedom is a losing game. Clear advice, well-presented.
